Back spasms forced Jamall Emmers to withdraw from his fight against Chas Skelly at the last moment tonight at UFC Vegas 19.
In a unique and unfortunate cancelation, the fight was called off after Skelly had already made the walk into the octagon and was waiting for his opponent in the cage. It was then that officials and Skelly received the news that Emmers was suffering from uncontrollable back spasms backstage and wouldn’t be able to fight.
Chas Skelly was in the cage waiting for his opponent, but Jamall Emmers could not compete due to back spasms.

This was to be Skelly’s first fight since September 2019 following an unspecified “freak accident” he suffered to his upper body while training jiu-jitsu. Due to the tough weight cut involved for him to get down to 145 lbs, it’s unlikely that we’ll see him make a quick turnaround to fight on another upcoming UFC card.
