Atos conquers men’s adult title, ends Alliance’s 9-year streak

Atos conquers male adult title, avoids Alliance 10-year streak to happen. Beatriz Lina

After nearly a decade of supremacy by Alliance, Atos Jiu-Jitsu has dethroned the team of Fabio Gurgel to become the 2017 men’s teams champion at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

Erberth Santos’s gold at super-heavy and Galvão’s at medium heavy were decisive in taking the team to the top. Atos finished with 105 points, followed by Alliance’s 88 and GFTeam’s 53. Atos was also the overall juvenile champion. Still, Alliance did not walk away empty-handed, as it won the women’s section with 67 points. You can check out the complete teams’ results below.
