The Pensacola Bay Center played host to Jorge Masvidal and Anthony Pettis in an exhibition BJJ match for the Bully Proof Foundation.
Pettis is set to take on Nate Diaz at UFC 241, while Masvidal will face Ben Askren at UFC 239. Neither fighter appeared willing to take big risks ahead of these important matchups. The two seemed to have fun, but remain loose and not go all out.
Dynamic and challenging as always, Pettis attacked with guillotines and rolling leg-locks. Meanwhile, Masvidal stayed out of danger and maintained safe positions.
UFC Middleweight Yoel Romero also took part in the event, submitting Chris “Huggy Bear” Barnett relatively easily in the co-main event.
