The inaugural 1ª World Jiu-Jitsu Expo
World Jiu-Jitsu Expo is coming up on the 12th of May in Long Beach, California, and all the pieces are in place for an unforgettable festival of Jiu-Jitsu that gentle-art practitioners will relish. Besides the No-Gi superfight between Bráulio Estima and UFC star Nick Diaz and the IBJJF-promoted Long Beach Spring Open, the event will include a series of free seminars, administered by grappling whizzes Roger Gracie, André Galvão, Robert Drysdale and Rodrigo Comprido.
Today the promoters announced that another three submission announcers will be there to impart their knowledge: Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu, Ricardo “Cachorrão” Almeida and Ronaldo “Jacaré”.
It’s a splendid opportunity to learn Jiu-Jitsu from the source and shoot the breeze with the biggest names in the business.
Organized by Renzo Gracie, the event will go down at the Long Beach Convention Center, with 8,000 square meters dedicated entirely to the fair. The event will also feature the inaugural BJJ Awards, the gentle-art’s own Oscar; the BJJ Hall of Fame; and an exhibition of classic photos taken by Susumo Nagao that will be attended byMMA and UFC stars in the numbers.
