Friday was a sad day for Brazilians tuned into the soccer World Cup, but Jiu-Jitsu fans had reason to rejoice. Shortly before kick-off of the game Brazil lost 1-2 to Holland, André Galvão returned to training in Rio de Janeiro with the person who taught him a great deal of his technique, persistence and attacking game on the mat.

Fernando Tererê visited his old friend at Minotauro Team academy, and the training session between the two world champions brought joy to all those present. “Tererê is really strong, and of course his technique is still sharp. All he has to do is work on his gas,” said Galvão in assessment during a quick chat with GRACIEMAG.com.
