MMA legend Anderson Silva has finally been granted United States citizenship, according to MMA Mania.
The former UFC middleweight champion, who was born in Brazil, took the citizenship oath on Tuesday. His son Kalyl and daughter Kaory also took the oath. Silva’s wife and three other children are still going through the process to obtain their own citizenship.
Speaking proudly of the milestone moment, Silva told the Associated Press, “It’s a great moment for me and my family. I have my family in Brazil. I have my mom and my brothers in Brazil. But I think this is my country now.”
