The third installment of the American Cup, promoted by one of California’s pioneering black belts Claudio França, promises to shake things up in Los Gatos this weekend.
Before the championship, the black belt calls on one and all to attend the seminar of Alvaro Mansur in San Jose this Friday the 30th. It’s a golden opportunity for anyone wishing to better understand the rules of sport Jiu-Jitsu, which serves not just for anyone hoping to one day referee, but for athletes, teachers and spectators who would like to better understand the game.
“It’s a good opportunity for coaches and for those who would like to know more about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a sport growing by miles and bounds around the world. It’s very useful in understanding the points system and holds and immobilizing moves,” says Claudio.
