Team Alliance isn’t full force for the Rio Open this time around. After a series of competitions involving the Pan, Brazilian Nationals and World Championship, a number of their main athletes took the chance to replenish their energy and lick their wounds.
Among the team’s front-runners in the Rio Open is Leonardo Nogueira. The fighter has won important titles in the past, like the 2009 World championship as a brown belt. Now Léo is looking to carve out a place for himself in the black belt division.
“Léo Nogueira will represent us well in Rio. He’s been training and be one of Alliance’s leading athletes,” asserted Bernardo Faria and Bruno Malfacine.
