All Roads Lead To Abu Dhabi

Competitors still have lots of chances to qualify for the 2017 ADWPJJJC in competitions all over the world

The 2017 ADWPJJC, scheduled April 17-22, once again at the IPIC Arena, in Abu Dhabi, is the pinnacle of the United Arabs Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) competition season. Once agin, the best competitors from all over the globe will gather in Abu Dhabi to fight for the distinguished title of Jiu-Jitsu world champion. The registration period for the event opens January 1st and goes through April 10.Click here to know more about the event.

You still have plenty of chances to qualify for the big stage and travel to Abu Dhabi with all expensed paid for. The National Pro series continues to award travel packages to winners of selected divisions in events in all five continents. Click here for the complete 2017 schedule.

Another way of qualifying for the 2017 ADWPJJC is to earn points in the UAEJJF rankings. The International Pro series will have events around the world where competitors of all nationalities can compete for valuable points that will also earn them travel packages for the 2017 ADWPJJC. The Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu World Tour still have two events scheduled for 2017. First, on January 13-14, the Tour lands in Abu Dhabi for two days of great action at the world famous IPIC Arena. Athletes will compete for their share of over US$150,000 in prizes. Big names like Felipe Pena, Andean Ribeiro, Gabriel Ares, Mackenzie Dean, among others, are confirmed to compete. The registration deadline is January 9. The final stop of the Tour this season is set to be in one of the most exciting cities in the world. London welcomes the Grand Slam on March 18 and once again the elite of the sport will gather to compete for a piece of over US$100,000 in prizes. About the UAEJJF

With the support and guidance of His Highness  Sheikh Mohammed bin Payed Al Mahayana, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation was established in November 2012 as the official authority for Jiu-Jitsu in the UAE.

The Federation plays a leading role in supporting Jiu-Jitsu and contributing to building a strong generation of UAE athletes to excel at the local and international levels. The Federation’s role is to implement policies that develop the sport in collaboration with various government entities, educational institutions and other partners in order to advance the sport locally, regionally and globally.
