The 2022 ADCC World Championships took place on September 17-18 in Las Vegas, NV. The event was headlined by a highly anticipated superfight between Gordon Ryan and Andre Galvao.
In tournament action, Kade Ruotolo kicked off his ADCC career in spectacular fashion, winning four matches by submission, handing Mica Galvao his first ever submission loss in the final of the 77 kg. division. And on the women’s side, Trials winner Amy Campo quickly became a crowd favorite with her dramatic win over Gabi Garcia in the semifinals, then defeated Rafaela Guedes in the similarly dramatic fashion to capture gold at 60+ kg.
Gordon Ryan continued his historic run of dominance, submitting three of four opponents to win the 99+ kg. division before defeating rival Andre Galvao in the superfight.
