ADCC Trials São Paulo: Calasans Jr. leads new group of qualified athletes in Brazil

The last Brazilian trials for 2015 ADCC was held this weekend in São Paulo.

Once again, new talents were crowned after two days of tough matches.

In the 66kg division, Gabriel Marangoni beat Alexandre Vieira with a last-minute sweep and guard pass in the final.

In the 77kg, Gagriel Rollo got the spot in the main event after defeating Claudio Caloquinha by one penalty for pulling guard.

In the 88kg, Claudio Calasans Jr. finished Isaque Paiva with a guillotine in the semifinal and then moved on to beat Felipe Barbosa by one penalty for pulling guard.

In the 99kg division, Cassio Francis first finished Erberth Santos with a foot lock in the semifinal and then choked Armando Sapo from the back for the spot in the main event.

In the +99kg division, Gabriel Lucas beat Gilmar Oliveira in the final for the spot.

Mayra Mazza won the spot in the female 60kg division and Jessica Oliveira was the champion in the +60kg division.

The North American trials take place in Coconut Creek, Florida, on May 9.
