ADCC Announces New Location For Men’s European, Middle East, & African Qualifier

The new location for the European, Middle East, & African ADCC tournament and men’s world championship qualifier has been confirmed to the Jiu-Jitsu Times by the promotion.

The event, which was originally set to be held on October 3 of 2020 in Moldova, will now be held in Luboń, Poland. The date will remain the same.

According to the ADCC website, there will be divisions for men, women, and masters (which lists male weight categories). All divisions will be organized by weight class, and there will be no open weight divisions for any category.

  • Male: -65.9kg, -76.9kg, -87.9kg, -98.9kg, and +99kg
  • Masters (Male): 65.9kg, -76.9kg, -87.9kg, -98.9kg, and +99kg
  • Female: -60kg and +60kg

The ADCC website states that only male competitors will be able to qualify for the 2021 ADCC world championship through this tournament, with the winners of each male category earning their ticket to the prestigious event. The second Trials event in the region, which has not yet been announced for ADCC 2021, will open up qualification eligibility for female competitors. All categories will receive medals for first, second, and third place finishes and will receive points that go toward competing for the “Best Team” Cup.

This is one of two male qualifier events that ADCC has announced, with the second being the first Asia/Oceania Trials set to take place in Singapore on December 5.
