ADCC 2019 is fast approaching and with that comes the inevitable pull-outs and replacements. Today the ADCC have announced that ADCC silver medalist AJ Agazarm is out and so is reigning world champ Mikey Musumeci.
AJ scored wins over Nicky Ryan and Ethan Crelineten at ADCC 2017 before losing in the final to Cobrinha. Since ADCC 2017, Agazarm’s focus has largely on MMA and he has alternated between a loss and a win in his career so far.
While ADCC hasn’t officially announced why, it is rumoured that Agazarm is currently focusing on his MMA career with Bellator.
Mikey Musumeci has had an amazing year, but after a huge weight cut and some niggling injuries throughout competition season, you can’t help but wonder if he has picked up a nasty injury. Musumeci is best known for his gi exploits, so lets hope he gets healthy for gi season.
We will keep you updated when word comes out from the athletes and their camps.
