You think it’s easy going up against the old-timers? The International Masters and Seniors, one of the most alluring and traditional events on the IBJJF calendar, features some of the biggest stars in Jiu-Jitsu, the forerunners who made gentle art history.

Last year there was no lack of weight-carrying names at the top of the podium. Take a look at the list below – all of them champions:

Felipe Costa
Gabriel Willcox
Fredson Alves
Adriano Silva
Eduardo Telles
Saulo Ribeiro
Rodrigo Munduruca
Gustavo Dantas
Roberto Correa “Gordo”
Rafael Carino
Wellington Leal Dias “Megaton”
Admilson Brites “Juquinha”
Alexandre Paiva
Osires Maia
Helvecio Penna

So if you’re over 30, what’s keeping you from taking part in the Jiu-Jitsu fest and etching your name in the sport’s history?

The event kicks off July 21 at Rio de Janeiro’s Tijuca Tennis Club running concurrently with the Rio International Open. Sign up here!
