President of the ADCC Lefterious Magriopolous invited the highly decorated Gabrielle Garcia (+60 kg) to be a part of ADCC 2011 in England this September. Thus the fighter, who was unable to participate in the South American qualifiers for the event, is in. The same invitation was awarded Rodolfo Vieira, who in São Paulo ended up losing to Augusto Ferrari.
“I won the Abu Dhabi Pro this month and got injured; that’s why I wasn’t at the tryouts, but I’m already recovering and I’ll head to New York to train with Marcelo Garcia and get ready. I’m overjoyed: the ADCC is the only title I haven’t conquered yet,” said the winner of the World, Pan, European and World Pro championships.
This year the qualifiers are being broadcast on the website http://www.portaldojiujitsu.com.br/. Broadcast of the semifinals and finals will begin at 11 am Brazilian time (GMT -3).
