It saddens us to report that Anthony Bourdain has passed away in France of an apparent suicide. He was discovered this morning by Chef and friend Eric Rippert. He was on location filming for another season of the hit show “Parts Unknown”.
If you follow this page you would know that Anthony had been doing BJJ for the last few years. We celebrated every stripe on his white belt and congratulated him at blue belt.
He was the first celebrity to follow us on Twitter back when our following was much smaller.

He also competed at an IBJJF tournament and won gold!
Truly sad to hear of his passing. He was such a manly man and a cool guy.
