ADCC Veteran Amanda Leve Earns BJJ Black Belt

MMA fighter and 2019 ADCC veteran Amanda Leve has earned her black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Leve, who has long been a prominent grappler in the sub-only scene and beyond, was promoted yesterday by James Booth and Jay Regalbuto, becoming the first black belt for both coaches in the process. She shared an emotional post commemorating the landmark achievement:

Leve already has a laundry list of achievements to her name, accumulating victories at Fight 2 Win, Finishers, and JitzKing, to name a few. The EBI veteran also picked up gold medals at No-Gi Worlds and No-Gi Pans during her colored belt career, but perhaps her most notable achievement so far was her win at the ADCC West Coast Trials in early 2019. Leve won five matches — four by submission — and placed ahead of Elisabeth Clay and Maggie Grindatti to earn gold and a place at the ADCC World Championships later that year.

With a diverse career portfolio and plenty of skill and dedication to carry her forward, there’s no telling what Leve will accomplish in this next part of her jiu-jitsu journey.
